Hilo for Zoom
How to add, use and remove the Zoom integration in Hilo.
Last updated: October 18, 2026 · Español
What the Zoom integration does
When you schedule a meeting with a client in Hilo and choose Zoom, Hilo creates the Zoom meeting in your Zoom account and shares the join link with your client and team inside the project. Changing the date or time in Hilo updates the Zoom meeting; cancelling it in Hilo deletes the Zoom meeting.
Adding the app
- You need a Hilo studio account (owner role) and a Zoom account.
- In Hilo, go to Settings › Integrations and tap Connect next to Zoom, or simply choose Zoom when creating a meeting in Meetings: if Zoom isn't connected yet, Hilo asks you to connect it right there.
- Sign in to Zoom and review the permissions: create meetings for you (meeting:write:meeting) and view your basic profile (user:read:user).
- Tap Allow. You are taken back to Hilo, which now shows "Connected · your Zoom email".
Using the app
- In Hilo, open Meetings (or a client's chat) and create a new meeting.
- Under the meeting link, choose Zoom. Hilo creates the Zoom meeting right away and shows its link, which you can copy.
- Set the title, date, time and guests and save: Hilo updates the Zoom meeting with those details and shares the link with your client and team. If you switch to another option or close without saving, the draft Zoom meeting is deleted.
- To reschedule, change the date or time in Hilo; to cancel, use Cancel meeting. Zoom is updated automatically.
Removing the app
- From Hilo: Settings › Integrations › Zoom › Disconnect. Hilo revokes its access and deletes the stored tokens immediately.
- From Zoom: sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace, go to Manage › Added Apps, find Hilo and click Remove.
After removal, Hilo can no longer create, update or delete Zoom meetings. Meetings that were already created stay in your Zoom account, and their links stay in Hilo's meeting history. To have that history deleted too, see Data deletion or email camilo@snc-designs.com.
Data and privacy
Hilo stores only the meetings you create from Hilo (topic, date, duration, meeting ID and join link) and the email of the connected Zoom account. Access tokens are stored encrypted. Details in our Privacy policy.
